Made with Nature

Sustainability

Ephea harnesses the power of living systems to open new horizons in design—where innovation, aesthetics, and sustainability in fashion thrive together.

By elevating mycelium into a renewable and regenerative resource, we craft highly sensory, next-generation sustainable materials. Born from biology, refined through craftsmanship, and created in harmony with nature, Ephea represents a new material category—designed with intention, and built for both the present and future.

The matter of change

A material born from urgency.
Not just presence, but purpose.

Crafted from bold science, wisdom
and unwavering values.
Ephea is stunning,
and in its beauty, gentle with life.

A new material. For a new world.
It does not exploit, it does not deceive.

Conscious. Transparent. Visionary.
A new language:
radical, unyielding, without compromise.

Ephea speaks for the Earth,
for all living things,
and for a future we shape
now.

LCA – Life Cycle Assessment

The study is based on the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, an internationally standardized approach conducted in accordance with the following standards:
• UNI EN ISO 14040 (2021) — Environmental Management, Life Cycle Assessment, Principles and Framework.
• UNI EN ISO 14044 (2021) — Life Cycle Assessment, Requirements and Guidelines.
• UNI EN ISO 14025 (2010) — Environmental Labels and Declarations, Type III Environmental Declarations: Principles and Procedures.
• Product Category Rules (PCR) — Finished Bovine Leather, The International EPD® System (referenced for specific indications).

APPROACH TO COMPARISON
The comparisons has been conducted between 1 m² of finished Ephea and 1 m² of tanned leather. The selection of the benchmark for the comparison is based on the results of the analysis using the EF 3.1 method: the database process with the lowest impact in terms of GWP (Global Warming Potential) has been used as the reference. Database entries selected as benchmark: Tanned leather → Leather, cattle, wet-white metal-free tanned {GLO} | technology mix | production mix, at tannery | m² | LCI result.
